I had big plans for this week’s blog post, but they will have to wait. Maureen and David are hosting an open house (December 8 and 9), which means we have all been working long hours in the studio, trying to fill the gallery with new work in time for the weekend.
Maureen has spent the last month (since 260 Fingers) developing some new shapes–small wine cups, petite mugs, and demitasses. She was eager to have them available in time for the open house. So, I got called in to paint.
In addition to manning kilns at all hours of the day and night, David has been working on his line of blue bowls, as well as his usual intensely decorated vases, plates and beakers.
Now, the last kiln has been fired and we are just waiting to see the results. While we wait, we will bake cookies and hope to see you all at the open house, eating those cookies.
The open house is this weekend, December 8 and 9, from 10am to 5pm. You can find us at 26 Sully Rd. in Wakefield.
